This online platform allows you to browse available opportunities and, through the “My Profile” section, submit your profile, application documents, and offers for internships or employment. Frequently Asked Questions and Answers:

I. Who can apply?

You can apply if you have successfully completed, or will successfully complete, one of the following qualifications this year:

  • a four-year secondary school programme,
  • a secondary school programme following the 3+2 model, or
  • a five-year secondary school programme.

The admission requirement is therefore a general or vocational matriculation certificate.

You can also apply if you have completed:

  • a master craftsman, foreman, or business manager examination, provided that you have:
  • at least three years of work experience, and
  • a test of proficiency in Slovene (or Italian or Hungarian in ethnically mixed areas), as well as a test in mathematics or a foreign language.

II. Can an Employed Applicant Enrol in Full-Time Study?

Yes. If you are employed at the time of enrolment and are admitted to a full-time study programme, you will attend lectures and complete other study requirements together with full-time students. There is no age limit for enrolment in either full-time or part-time study.

III. Have You Previously Been Enrolled at a University and Now Wish to Study at a Higher Vocational College?

If you have already been enrolled in a professional bachelor’s or university study programme for three years, you are not eligible to enrol in a full-time Higher Vocational College study programme. In this case, you may enrol in a part-time study programme instead. Part-time study also includes the most modern form of distance learning.

IV. How can I apply?

Applicants for admission to Higher Vocational Colleges may apply during the admission periods from 18 February to 18 March and from 21 August to 27 August 2026 by submitting an online application via the HIGHER EDUCATION ADMISSIONS OFFICE.

Erasmus+

Gain international experience during your studies! 🌍
Students of Higher Vocational Colleges may complete part of their study programme requirements abroad. The Erasmus+ Programme enables them to undertake international mobility either for a training placement in a company or for studies at a partner higher education institution in an Erasmus+ Programme country.
As many as 43 Higher Vocational Colleges enable their students to participate in Erasmus+ mobility with funding support provided through the consortium of the Association of Higher Vocational Colleges of the Republic of Slovenia.
An international experience can make a significant contribution to your professional and personal development, enhance your employability, and open up new opportunities for your future career.
Erasmus+ mobility enables you to:

  • acquire new professional knowledge and practical experience,

  • improve your academic performance,

  • enhance your employability and improve your career prospects,
